Hello Mike:
Sorry to be so long in getting back to you. I have a lot of "balls in the air" right now, especially for an old guy. But I have determined some things such as: My mother was Edna Bernice Logue Fiscus, born 9-25-1885, died 2-10-1966. She had an older sister: Stella (or Estella) May Logue Mix Floyd (3-23-1883 to 8--1952) and a younger brother: Roy Jackson Logue (7-25-87 to2--1960). She also had an Uncle, Adam Logue, who was blind and lived with us in Wyside. He died in my arms on April, 1934. I remember that he was 81 years old so he would have been born in 1853. He would have to be a brother to my mother's father, Benjamin Logue. The 1880 census shows a family of Logues that corresponds to this criteria. John C. Logue and Mary A. Logue with 7 kids, w/Adam 27 and Benjamin 24 among them. I also find this family in the 1870 census for Grove twnshp. Benjamin apparently married Rhoda Russel ?, my mother's mother. She (Rhoda) later married a fellow with the last name of Dann. They!
lived near Johnsonburg. She died around 1928 + or -. I don't know what happened to her marriage to Benjamin Logue. I have been unable to find any record of my mother as a child. She told us that she lived near Ellicotts Run (near Jericho) as a child and attended school through the eighth grade.

So my grandparents would have been Benjamin Logue, born 1856, and Rhoda Russel Logue. My great grandparents would have been John C. Logue, born 1825, and Mary A. Logue, born 1828. Since my mother was a fourth cousin to the "Shaky" Logues, I would deduce that their father, Benjamin B. Logue ( 4-28-1826 to 1-23-1903) was a brother to John C. Logue. I learned on Ancestry.com that Benjamin B. Logue's father was Adam Logue, born 1787 and his mother was Jane Brooks Logue. In the book, History of Cameron County, page 353, Adam Logue came to the First Fork area following his service in the Revolutionary War. His first wife was Nancy Sterret. He had four sons, Adam, George, Archibald, and Thomas. Is his son Adam the father of Benjamin B. Logue and John C. Logue?

I would appreciate any help that you can give to confirm or deny any of this. Sandra Hornung did a fantastic job in researching and typing much of this for me. I am eternally in her debt. In appreciation, I am sending her a donation th the Historical Society.

Thanks fo any help that you can give.

Hi Bob!

I talked with Sandra tonight and she mentioned that she had spoken with you recently. I have access to the courthouse records if there is anything I can look up for you. IF you can give me more details on what you are looking for I would be glad to dig into it for you. Let me know!

Hello Mike:
Thanks for your interest in my query. I saw the 1910 census.info. My parents didn't talk much about their families, particularly my father, but I've got him pegged. All the way to the Rhine Palatinate in what is now Germany. His ancestors arrived in Philadelphia in 1743. We lost our home and all pictures and family history in the 1936 St. Patrick's Day flood (Wyside). I never knew any of my grandparents. I know that my maternal grandmother remarried (why I don't know). I'm not even sure of her name (names). I am 83 years old so don't have a lot of time to get this info. A couple of years ago Sandra Hornung dug up a lot of info for me but I ran into too many dead ends. So I gave up for awhile. Now I'm at

it again, and I sure appreciate any help you can give.
Thanks again,
Bob Fiscus

Hi!,

Did you see the information in the 1910 census for your family? The 1900
census will give you the name of her family. It will be online soon.
