Hazleton Standard-Sentinel, Sat. Nov. 30, 1935

Miss Helen Watro, of Beaver Meadow, became the bride of Michael Matweecha,
of McAdoo, at 6:30 Tuesday evening at St. Peter's and Paul's Greek Catholic
church, of Beaver Meadow, Rev. Anthony Mhley officiated. The bride was
attired in a ginger brown gown with brown accessories. She wore a corsage
of yellow pom-poms and tea roses. The maid of honor was Miss Mary Watro,
of Beaver Meadow, niece of the bride. She was attired in a rust colored
gown with accessories to match. The best man was Anthony Matweecha, brother
of the groom. Following the ceremony, a wedding dinner was served at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Matweecha, of Shuman street, McAdoo. The groom
is employed at the mines of Pardee Brothers, at Beaver Brook, as engineer.
After a honeymoon trip to Buffalo, N.Y., the couple will reside at the
bride's home in Beaver Meadow, on and after Dec. 2nd.
