Hi Folks,

I've made a little progress on my EVANS line this year and thought I would
repost to see if anyone has a connection.

Still looking for the ancestors, descendants or cousins of my 3G Grandfather
James EVANS b.1839 Wales d.1907 (I've just recently send for his death cert).
He went from Wales to PA sometime before 1861.

James married Sarah BENNETT b.1842 Wales, d.1893. They both rest in the
Citizen's Cemetery. Their children were J.J b.1862, Thomas R. b.1868, Harriet
b.1873, James b.1876, Willie b.1878. They resided in Coleraine, Carbon Co.,
PA where it is said that James and his brothers owned the Evans Colliery
there, but I have yet to verify that. I do know that James and later his sons
were Coal Miners in the Beaver Meadows/Coleraine area of PA.

James' son Thomas R. EVANS b.12 Apr 1868 d.1 Aug 1935 married 1st Sarah DAVIS
b.1868 d.1894 of Beaver Meadows, PA. Their children were Henry "Harry",
b.1892, Earl b.1894. Sarah rests in the Citizen's Cem, Carbon Co., PA.

Thomas married 2nd Eva Unknown b.1871 d.1916 their children Thomas b.1897 ,
George b.1898, Harriet b.1900 d.1900, Anna b.1902, Eva b.1904. They resided
in Hazleton or West Hazleton, Luzerne Co., PA. They rest in the Mountain View
Cem in West Hazleton.

Thomas married 3rd Anna Katherine BECHLOFT (if anyone knows variations on
this name please let me know) b.unknown d. after 1935. They resided in West
Hazleton, Luzerne Co., PA
