To find the GAR Cemetery, take Rt. 902 from the south (from the Jim Thorpe or Lehighton area) and, upon entering Summit Hill, watch for 902's interesection with White St. Turn right onto White and continue for 3 or 4 blocks, where you'll reach the cemeteries in the east part of town. First on your left is St. Joe's Roman Catholic. Next is the GAR. A battered hedge separates the two. Six members of the Bogle family are buried in the same plot, as follows
BOGLEWILLIAM 1876-1877
BOGLEANNIE 1861-1866
BOGLECLARA D. 1866-1868
BOGLEALICE E. 1858-1907
BOGLESARAH JANE 1839-1880Mother
BOGLEJOHN 1832-1908Father
If you plan to visit and want to locate the graves, email me for directions to the plot.
