Royce E. Duffy, of 1224 Echo Drive, Whitehall, died Monday in the Sacred Heart Hospital, Allentown. He was the husband of Annie (Moskerintz) Duffy.

He was a trainman for the Jersey Central Railroad and Conrail before retiring in 1962.

Born in Jim Thorpe, he was son of the late Walter and Imogene (Underwood) Duffy.

He was a member of St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church, Allentown.

Duffy was a military policeman in the Army during World War II. He was a life member of the Whitehall American Legion Post and a member of the Whitehall Fire Company.

Surviving in addition to his widow are a daughter, Barbara, wife of the Rev. Ernest Diefenderfer of Quakertown; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Eugene, Walter, and Edgar.
