I am a Burge searcher ,decendant of the Thomas Burge whose will is in
Bruce Howards"Colonial Ancestors" the Thos Burge mentioned in the
article below ,from Amelia,Va Order Book 1764-65,is a son of the
Thomas Burge whose will of 1752,Prince George,Va.. Three of Thomas
Burges' sons died in Amelia,Va btw 1760-1770. They were the Thomas
mentioned below and William Burge and Richard Burge. All brothers of
the Sarah Burge believed to have married John Pace
Can anyone identify the John & Wm Pace in Amelia,Va???

344 under Crenshaw:Amelia County:
"Robert Crenshaw appt surveyor of the road from Pains Shop to Nottoway
Bridge,and that Wm Pace,John Pace,Richard Crute,MRs Hholland,Wm
Sneed,Wm Crenshaww,Sr,Wm Crenshaw,Jr,Thos Burge,Henry Buford,Sam'l
Smith,Charles Irby to attend the sd road surveyor when required in
order to clear and keep the sd road in repair."
