I just read your posting and wow! Hartwell Pace was the brother of my
ggrandfather Joseph Nicholas Pace; their mother was Mildred Davis of
Pittsylvania County,l VA, just across the border from NC. My Paces migrated
to Missouri from Pittsylvania County, VA.
There have been rumors in my family about Cherokee ancestry but I have
assumed they were false, as this is a very common rumor in a lot of
families.
I will be glad to pay for photocopies, mailing, or whatever.
I would certainly like to get this material.
