There is another book that I have found which deals with some of the
Regulators in NC:
Sketches of Western North Carolina, Historical and Biographical
(illustrating principally the Revolutionary Period. This book even has
genealogy material on the families of some of the Regulators of NC. It
is by C. L. Hunter. It was pub'd in Raleigh NC by the Raleigh News in
1877. Unfortunately, the edition I got through inter-library loan had
no index and I don't think there was a Pace in it.
I no longer have the book, but I understand there is a later edition with
an index. It seems to deal heavily with the Regulators of Piedmont NC,
especially Rowan, Iredell, and of course Mecklenburg Co. NC, where they
did issue the so-called Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence (some say
this was a fraud).

Would you please send me the name of the 'Regulator War" book?
It is my understanding from talking to people who are interested in the
Am Rev
that the revolution in GA and SC was very much akin to a civil war rather
than
he war
for independence. The people in the Wilkes Co area of GA--close to
Augusta GA
and that area of SC suffered miserably from the Brits and from their Tory
neighbors.It
was really an awful time in our country's history that has been much
overlooked
by our historians.
thanks,
