Alyce Sigite sent me the following message which should have gone to the mail
list:
"I have the same lineage as Jack Pace [historian of the Pace Society], John
and Mary Cornwell Pace who came to Salem, MO from Ky. (My husband actually).
We live on the homestead of Demps Cornwell and Mary E. Watson Pace here in
Salem, MO."
The partial ancestry of these folks is as follows:
1. Spencer Pace b. 1763 Pittsylvania Co, VA, d. 7/10/1849 Marshall Co, KY,
m. Mary Haymes.
2. Joel Pace b. 1791 Pittsylvania Co, VA, d. 9/29/1834 Calloway Co, KY m.
Sally Cope b. abt 1799 Muhlenberg Co, KY, d. aft 1850 Marshall Co, KY.
3. John Pace b. 10/1816 KY d. 7/13/1890 MO, m. Mary Polly Cornwell b. 1827
KY (they are buried in the Walden Cemetery).
4. Dempsey Cornwell Pace b. 8/23/1861 Marshall Co, KY, d. 4/10/1947 MO, m.
Mary Elizabeth Watson b. abt 1860.
