Subject: [PACE-L] Unknown Kentucky Paces

Jack:
Thanks for your suggestions about Joel and John Pace on the 1820 KY census,
but
the unidentified Joel Pace in Woodford Co, KY on the 1820 census could not be
the Joel Pace b. 1791, son of Spencer Pace because the latter Joel Pace was
on the 1820 census of Todd Co, KY along with his father.
The unidentified John Pace in Cumberland Co, KY on the 1820 census could not
be the John Pace b. 1764 who married Margaret Irving (Irvine?) because the
latter John was on the 1820 census of Madison Co, KY.
There have been cases when a Pace was enumerated in two different censuses,
usually in neighboring counties, in the same year, but for these two I think
it is very unlikely. The two counties are very far apart and there is no
record that Joel was ever in Woodford Co. or that John was in Cumberland Co.,
as far as I know.
