The only "proof" I have seen connecting any children to John Pace and Sarah
[Burge] is the Bible record of their grandson, Alsa, which states that
Alsa was the son of Edmond and Edmond the son of John Pace and Sarah. All
other "children" appear to be based upon circumstantial evidence - process
of elimination, proximity to John and Sarah in Surry Co, NC and the "Carrie
Pace letter".

I would certainly like to see some DNA tests of proven descendants of "John,
the Tory" through his son, Edmond, in order to establish a "base line" for
the family.

With this in mind, I will be glad to fund a couple of tests for descendants
of John through said son, Edmond. So, if there are qualified descendants of
Edmond out there who are willing to become donors, but do not wish to expend
the funds at this time, please e-mail <> or
