William Pace and Ruth Lambert had a son Drury. William's parents are
being reinvestigated, once again, in the original records. In reviewing the
records, an earlier William Pace was named as the son of George and Obedience
Pace. Obedience Pace married into the Cade family after George's death, as did
one of her daughters. The Cade family has an earlier association with the
Drury family. One of the Cades was Drury Cade. The name Drury in the Pace
family (and also the name Cade Drew that appears in the Strickland family)
possibly may suggest some connection to these earlier Cade and Drury families.
This is one of the areas I plan to research more thoroughly.

Hello,
I don't know if this means anything to your line, but
according to the research of Ann Woodlief and others,
http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Bluffs/4579/woodline.html,
the Descendents of Richard PACE and Sarah Woodliefe have DRURY
ancestry through the PACE family of early VA.
She lists Richard Pace being married to Sarah Woodlief by 1717
(Howard, Our Colonial Ancestors). There is more on the Virginia Line on
http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Bluffs/4579/woodfam.html
The Woodliefe supposedly goes back through Drury to the Plantangenet
Kings of England, which she briefly profiles at her site.
I seem to also remember seeing the surname Dury in early
VA records. I've not done anything yet to link the two familes in Virginia.
Best regards,
Maureen
