William Pace and Ruth Lambert's descendants who were tested are in group 3a not group 3b.

In my database there are several Drury Paces. The earliest, Drury b. 10/1745
NC, was a son of Richard Pace IV and Elizabeth Cain. He married Mary Bussey. They had a son, Drury, Jr, who had a son Drury Wellington Pace. Then there was Drury Pace b. 1770, a grandson of Richard Pace IV. The last one is Drury Pace b. abt 1780 m. Sarah Nelson. He was a son of William Pace and Ruth Lambert. There is some uncertainty about the ancestry of this William Pace.
The concensus is that he descends from James Pace (or John Pace) and
Elizabeth Lowe.If this Drury was named after the earlier Drurys, the implicatioin is that William may not descend from James or John but rather their brother, namely Richard Pace III, which would put him in Group 3a rather than 3b.
It is interesting to look at the name Dreadzil also. The earliest was b.
1734, son of Richard Pace IV and Elizabeth Cain. Then there were three others
who were grandsons of Richard IV, born abt 1748, abt. 1803 and 1805. There was another Dredzil b. 1805 who was a grandson of Drury Pace and Mary Bussey, and another b. 1832 who was their great grandson.
