Subject: New DNA results
Date: Thu, 9 Sep 2004 20:57:19 -0500
I just posted 37 marker DNA results for kit number 6366. They are
identical with the other two Paces in group 3 who went to the 37 marker,
kits 7833 and 7811.
This further strengthens the evidence that our groups 3a and 3b are
closely related, since 7811 is in 3b. What it does NOT do, however, is
to help us to sort out the sub groups. The 37 marker test is
specifically designed to help with splits in the family line since the
original ancestor, but since these three results are perfect matches,
this goal is not accomplished.
Nonetheless, all DNA information is useful, and by further strengthening
the evidence for common ancestry in group 3, it adds to our
understanding.
