I do not have any proof available, but I wonder if the William Johnson that
married Margaret Pace is the William that moved to N.C. and had a store on
Snow Hill Road _ what is now Durham County. William was the financier for the
company that sent Daniel Boone to claim Tennessee and ?. It was called the
Transylvania Company. Mr. Henderson was the president of the company.
Johnson had a daughter that married a Hogg. They changed their name
from Hogg when they went to Tennessee to claim the company's real estate.
