It's great to get a DNA sample from the third and last known son of Frederick of Wales. This completes the circle and gives us samples from all three of the Clarke Co, AL, Pace brothers - William, John, and now Dempsey. These DNA results prove nothing about the origin or life of Frederick, but we now have a pretty good picture of his Y chromosome genotype. We now know with a high degree of certainty that descendents of these three men are not related (by the paternal line) to the other group of people who believe that they descend from John Pace the Tory who married Sarah.

Unfortunately, a number of my Clarke Co Pace cousins have family trees that incorrectly show their descent from Richard of Jamestown via John the Tory, and it will probably take many years for the word to get out and for all of those genealogies to be corrected. I have noted that most on the Pace list are genuinely nice people who are reluctant to disagree and dispute, but I think that, when the opportunity arises, we all need to try to help my poor deluded cousins get it right.
