MARRIAGE RECORD
WILHELM-HARTZELL
Mr. Curtin Wilhelm of Sand Patch, Somerset county, and Miss Ethel Nellie
Hartzell of Ligonier, were married on Monday by Rev. Julius F. Seebach,
pastor
of the Zion Lutheran church, Hollidaysburg. Both the bride and bridegroom are
deaf mutes, and the ceremony had to be performed by writing and signs. The
bridegroom is a teacher in a school for deaf mutes.

CHERRY-ESTEP
Mr. Walter Blair Cherry and Miss Agnes Fogel Estep were united in marriage
at the parsonage of First Baptist church, Hollidaysburg, on Jan. 6 by Rev.
Louis J. Schoeppler. the bridegroom is a farmer of Antis township, and his
bride
resides in Tipton. They left for a honeymoon trip. On their return, they took
up housekeeping on the bridegroom's farm.

SHAY-UPDIKE
Mr. Russell Shay and Miss Ruth Eva Updike of Tyrone, were married at
Hollidaysburg yesterday by Justice of the Peace Isaac M. Irwin. The
bridegroom is
employed as a moulder and his bride for some time past has been a candy
maker.
She is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Updike. They will take up
housekeeping
at once at Tyrone.

FORMER RESIDENT BURIED HERE
The remains of the late Henry Robinson, colored, of Johnstown, were
received this morning at 11 o'clock in this city by Funeral Director N. A.
Stevens.
The body was buried at noon in the reserve plot in the Rose Hill cemetery.
Mr.
Robinson was born 43 years ago and formerly resided in this city. Death was
due to endocarditis. He died Wednesday. The body was brought here by Mrs.
Esther
Robinson.

ALEX WEIR SELLS FINE HOME
Alexander Weir, the tobacconist at Twelfth avenue and Eleventh street, has
just sold a handsome fireproof brick dwelling on Tenth street to David F.
Treese, a Pennsy engineer and a former resident of Hollidaysburg. The
consideration was $5,700. Mr. Treese is already in his new home.
