On the 1st. inst., by Jacob H. Stiffler, Esq., Mr. William Cochran to Miss
Amanda Jane Biddle, both of Cambria co.
On March 5th, by Rev. John Moore of Williamsburg, Mr. John Davis to Miss
Elizabeth Waggoner, both of Springfield Furnace, Blair co., Pa.
On the 12th inst., by Esquire Bowers, Mr. John Westover to Miss Anna E.
Summerlun, all of Hollidaysburg.
At the residence of the bride's father, on the evening of March 12th, by
Rev. W. Hunt, Mr. John H. Brantner to Miss S. Alice J. Norris, all of
Williamsburg.
On the 4th of March, at the residence of he bride's father, near Dixon, Lee
co., Ill., by the Rev. J. R. Keiser, Mr. James Stewart, formerly of Sinking
Valley, Blair county, Pa., to Miss Mary F. Burket, of that place.
On March 19th, by Rev. Thos. F. Hallowell, Mr. Thomas Riley and Miss Annie
C. Baker, both of Altoona, Blair county, Pa.
On the 17th inst., at the Jackson House in Huntingdon, by Rev. G. W.
Zahalzer, Mr. A. C. McCartney, of Bloomfield, Bedford co. to Miss Sue Wayne,
of
Altoona, Pa.
Also, at the same time and place, by the same, Mr. G. L. Myers, to Miss
Mollie McCartney, both of Altoona.
On the 13th inst., at the residence of Mr. Joseph Dey, in this place, by
Rev. Thos. F. Hallowell, Mr. Wm. Houzley to Miss Martha Shepherd, (adopted
daughter of Mr. J. and Mrs. E. B. Dey), both of the city of Philadelphia.

DIED
On the 10th inst., George F. Wike, long a resident of Huston township,
Blair co.
In Philadelphia, on the 5th inst., Nancy J., wife of H. B. White of this
place, aged 30 years, 7 months, and 14 days.
Her remains were brought to this place and interred in Fair View Cemetery.
In this place, on the 13th. inst., Jennie, daughter of John and Henrietta
Cherry, aged 2 years, eight months and three days.
In this place, on Thursday last, Wm. Ferguson, aged about 74 years.

Estray-Came to the residence of the subscriber in Logan township, on or
about
the 1st of July, 1862, a Brindle Bull, white under the belly and white hind
feet, supposed to be about 18 months old. The owner is requested to come
forward, prove property, pay charges and take him away, otherwise he will be
disposed of according to law.
