Apparently my cousin bought some for my grandmother the other year
here (Centre Co.) but I don't know details. I've never had them,
that I know of.

If some of you are REALLY interested in what was going on here during
Christmas past in Centre County, you can find out for us. The files
of the Democratic Watchman newspaper from Bellefonte have been
digitized from 1855 to 1871. This weekly newspaper was ardently
Democratic, anti-war, etc., and a very colorful and famous statewide
for its editor, P. Gray Meek, who was later elected to the state
legislature. Be prepared for the racist attitudes of the day, but
I'm sure you will learn something of our history.

Here is the site which links to that paper and a bunch of other
digitized PA papers:

If you find anything on Christmas past, I'd love to hear it!!!!
