Hi gang!

Just wanted to let you all know that the earliest messages from this list have
been archived onto the Chester County Chester-Roots page
(http://home.sprynet.com/sprynt/mhharris/chester2.htm is the homepage address)
and are available for your perusal. Not too much there yet, since this list is
barely a week old.

Also, we have a lot of newcomers to the list and I only recognize about half of
the email addresses. so how 'bout if some of you tell us a bit about what (or
should I say who?) you're looking for in Chester? I, for one, would be
interested in hearing about any genealogy-related webpages you may have,
especially if they contain Chester names! As some of you already know, I have a
3500 name Chester County database tied to the Chester County pages from the
Surnames page. If you haven't checked out my surnames-please take a look. I've
included many, many related lines. While I can't guarantee that everyone in the
database is from Chester, most are.

GenWeb's automatic query system is now handling the queries for Chester, which
gives us the ability to have GenWeb index the names in our queries, as well as
letting us post to all the PA Counties from one location. A neat idea and bound
to make life a bit easier for the page sponsors! Eventually, the index of names
will be available for us to see and search--I'll keep you posted on that.

If you haven't checked out the rest of the PA pages, take a browse thru them--we
still are looking for a lot of sponsors for counties, so if you or anyone you
know is interested in sponsoring a PA page, please send a message to Gary
Steiner, the PA Coordinator (). And if you have reference
materials for any of the active counties and would be willing to do lookups,
please contact the page sponsor for the county. All of the PA Counties may be
accessed at http://libertynet.org/~gencap/pacounties.html.

Let's hear from you!
Mary
