Good morning fellow rooters. I am still searching for parents for Thomas Powell b ca
1792/93. He is in Penn Twp. in 1850 Chester Co census. When his will is written
in 1869, he states, "I Thomas Powell of Nottinghan Twp. formerly of Penn Twp."
Thomas died in 1873 and buried "Ancient Burial Grounds of St Johns" ? on New
London Road. His first wife Catherine Wright Powell and three sons are buried there
also. I will be glad to share all information on this family.
Three of Thomas and Catherine Wright Powell's sons migrated to Ohio. Allen and
Samuel Powell to Clark CO, Thomas Powell Jr to Pickaway Co Ohio.
Thanks for any help, or even good guesses I can follow up on.
BTW Thomas Powell's second wife was Margaret Dickey, which was a well known name in Chester.
Thanks for reading,
Mary A Powell Sutphin
