Searching for the parents of John Haines, born 1758 and died circa 1813
in Londonderry Township, Bedford County, PA. He married Lanah DeVore
born 1778 and died March 1838 in Muskingum County, Ohio and is buried
west of Zanesville. They had children: Lanah, Leonard, Hannah, Daniel,
John, Henry and George. The family migrated to Ohio about 1816. John
Haines is said to be descended from John Haines and Esther Borton of
Burlington, NJ. There is other information on the family in Chester
Roots. Thank you for anything you can add as we are stopped at John and
Lanah. Have a lot of information on the Ohio part of the family if
anyone needs it.
