How about the Honeybrook area? Seems that the East and West
Branches of the Brandywine are very close together there.
Another possible place - the south side of Rt 30 (Lancaster Pike)
between Downingtown and Coatesville. The East Branch goes thru
Downingtown, the West thru Coatesville - this site has some
properties still owned by descendents of original families on
land from the PENN family.

Hello Folks-
Yesterday I finally went to the Chester. Co. Historical Society and looked
at a wonderful old map showing all the early land grants in East Bradford
around the Forks of the Brandywine.
The deed which showed my ancestor John Broomall's land in 1717 had all the
adjacent land vacant, except for one little piece owned by John More.
This map showed all the land at the forks of the Brandywine occupied from
as early as 1706. So it is impossible for this to be the place referred to
by the deed. The Buffingtons owned most of it, but all the land anywhere
around there was occupied long before 1717. John More (Moor, Moore) I have
found out, was a land speculator, and he owned land all over the place, so
his name isn't much help.
Does anyone have any suggestions where else "situate at the Head Branches
of Brandewine" could mean?
I am at an impasse.
