Robin,
I have been doing extensive research on the Moses family of Pikeland
Township. Your John is undoubtedly either a descendant of, or closely
related to, my immigrant Johann Adam Moses who was a Lutheran from
Germany, and a passenger on the Loyal Judith, taking the Oath of
Allegiance on 9/02/1743 in Philadelphia. Adam Moses was a principal
founder of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Chester Springs, Chester County,
PA. He lived in Pikeland Township.
I have posted his will, along with other information, at:
http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Park/7529/
I have also posted a descendant report at:
http://www.familytreemaker.com/users/t/a/f/Mary-D-Taffet/GENE10-0001.html
[The first site links to the second site].
I have additional information, as of yet unposted, which indicates that
the spouse of the John you refer to is most likely Susanna Shoffner,
daughter of Martin Shoffner.
I'll send that information shortly.

P.S. I am about to reload the descendant report, so wait a while to
access it.
