Recent correspondence with another CW buff has revealed that a book was
authored by one Lt. I. Newton Ritner on the history of the 49th PA Volunteers
in 1889. The book allegedly contains over 400 photos of members of that unit.
The 49th was formed in West Chester, and was likely made up of residents of
Chester county (including my gt grandfather).
Any suggestions on places in Chester county to search for this book? I'm
just a tad far away from there.
