Subject: Looking for the birth of John Worth

My great grandfather, John Worth, was born in Pennsylvania in 1852 according to the 1900 census of Delaware, where he lived at that time. He had a brother named William Worth who was also said to have been born in PA. Because Chester County is so close to Wilmington, DE where they lived I have been thinking maybe they were born in Chester County. I have not found them on any census indexes or anywhere else, however.
Does anyone know if there is a way to find a record of a birth in Pennsylvania in about 1850 if one does not know the county of birth? Would this birth be on file in the State Archives?
