Wayne,

Thanks for your response and good advice. I had previously ordered and
received a $25.00 search on John McCarter by the Chester County Historical
Society. From this search I did receive copies of some newspaper clippings
and a number of other documents which were extremely helpful and I would
echo your recommendation to anyone researching a Chester County ancestor
that they make this investment.

However, I did not receive any information about the McCarters that directly
involved Faggs Manor, except the "Village Record" newspaper clipping
reporting the marriage in 1824 of John and Sarah by Rev. Robert White, who
was the pastor at Faggs Manor. One would think that the McCarters would
have become members of that congregation and been buried there, but that
does not seem to be the case. Is Forks of Brandywine the closest other
Presbyterian Church?

I would happy happy to pay for copies of all rebirth/marriage/death records
from Faggs Manor pertaining to John and Sarah McCarter and their family.
Thank you for offering to contact the Chester County Historical Society to
check if they have any Faggs Manor records on the McCarters. I very much
appreciate your help.

Cordially,

David
