My own patrilineal line traces back to Thomas HALL, who died in Concord
Township, Chester County, in 1717.

Here is the text of his will, written in 1704:

"I, Thomas Hall, of Concord in the County of Chester, being weake of body
and perfect memory this eleventh day of September Seventeen hundred and
four. I doo leve this my last will and testament as followeth first i
bequeath my Sole and spirrit into the hands of all mighty god that gave it
and next my body desantly to the ground to bee buried in my plantation where
my loveing wife shall think fit thirdly all my just debts and funerall
expences to bee paid and as for the rest of my goods what is over i will

Children & to dispose of as Shee seese meet & i leve my Loveing wife whole

Thomas Hall's will was witnessed by Thomas Cartright and William Rattew and
was proved August 21, 1717.

The original 100 acre Hall tract is located on the east side of Ivy Mill
Road, north from Concord Road, crosses Chester Creek and goes almost to
Chester Heights. The largest part of this tract was owned in 1960 by a Mr.
Lenoir Jordan. The original stone house of Thomas Hall was incorporated into
Jordan's home.

The name of Thomas HALL's wife is unknown to me, as are the birth dates of
his four children: John, Sarah, Mary, and Thomas.

Anyone with more information about the Thomas HALL, especially his English
origin, his wife's name, or children's birthdates, please contact me. I have
considerable descendant information I could share.
