Well, it would.....if there was never any intermarriage between cousins.
However, even just one "cousin" intermarriage cuts the numbers prior to them
in half. In my case, gg grandma and gg grandpa were 1st cousins; their
fathers were brothers. Thus, they had common grandparents. Follow? (Oh,
yes. They were married on 2 Sep 1841 in Uwchlan Twp., Chester co. And just
six weeks later, gt grandpa was born....do that tell you a story???) <grin>
