<x-rich>Speaking of Brinton, do any of you recognize the name Clement Starr
Brinton?
He was the father of my cousins' stepmother, Alice Brinton Clement.
Here's his picture:

He was a photographer-- his work is archived at Temple University.
I found this reference at :
http://www.library.temple.edu/urbana/dir-13.htm
-002 Clement Starr Brinton Collection , ca. 1890-1955, 1,288 items.
[BW, FN, LA, LB]
Brinton visited sites of early mills, photographed them, and delivered
illustrated lectures to schools and community groups. He also copied images
from other sources on lantern slides. The bulk of the collection deals with
Pennsylvania (67 iron furnaces and mills represented), New Jersey (31
furnaces and ironworks), Alabama, Maryland, Massachusetts, and New York.
Other subjects include ironworks' ruins, ironmasters' houses, products such
as stoves and cannon, outbuildings, reconstructions, iron-ore bogs, slag
heaps, and diagrams and drawings of ironworks, mining, and charcoal
manufacturing.
I'd appreciate any other information anyone may have on this line.
