Taken from Uwchlan Twp. book:
p. 14 - Picture of "The core of this house probably built by John MARTIN bef
1715. John Martin was not on the early Uwchlan Tax lists but may have paid
taxex in one of the adjoining townships. An unusual feature of this
homestead is a large two story dwelling of the springhouse.
p. 37 - 1764 Chester Co. conducted a detailed tax assessment. Residents were
required to list acreage.............servants, slaves & trades. Weaver,
Thomas MARTIN.
p. 40 - Uwchlan Twp. 1764 map (outline) showing location of some of the
tradesmen who were also landowners: Thomas MARTIN - weaver.
