My Brick Wall gets higher and harder as the years go by.
I'm still trying to find the parents of my g-grandfather John BING,
born in Chester Co. on 24 Oct. 1818. He moved to Centre Co PA in
1850 and died there in 1890. His obit. indicates he was a
Presbyterian.
There is strong circumstantial evidence that his father is Joseph
BING, born 1790 place unknown, but was working in and was on the tax
rolls in Chester Co. around 1810.
From 1820 to 1860 he is in the Centre Co. censuses and in 1850 and
1860 both John and Joseph are listed on the same page of the census
forms.
1850 census also shows Joseph age 60 along with an Elizabeth age
60 whom I presume is his wife.
Any more details on this family will be enthusiastically welcomed.
