I paid $5.00 in Oregon & Texas, & New Mexico 15 yrs. ago...depends on the
State. A death certificate usually gives more vital info. Sometimes obits
are a bit flowery...

She sent me an email, and said she contacted the State, but since she isn't
a relative, they wouldn't send it to her.

So it goes with genealogy.
