Good afternoon, all,
Lucy Malin was the daughter of Thomas and Mary (Trego) Malin, b. 11th mo. 13,
1759. On 3rd mo. 5, 1779 Lucy was disowned by Goshen Meeting for marrying
out of unity to a Stringfellow (first name not given).
The names George and Lucya Stringfellow turn up on the marriage certificate
of John and Sarah (Taylor) Baily [Bradford MM, 11th mo. 3, 1785]. George's
name appears on the marriage certificate of Abiah and Abigail (Griffith)
Hoopes 5th mo, 3, 1781, but not Lucy or Lucya. Abigail was the niece of Lucy
(Malin) Stringfellow's stepmother Hannah (Griffith) Malin.
Rachel Stringfellow, the wife of a George Stringfellow is mentioned in the
abstract of Mary Stringfellow's will, proved in Philadelphia on June 8, 1822.
Is this the same George Stringfellow? Was Rachel his second wife?
Did George and Lucy (Malin) Stringfellow have any children?
