Hello,

I sent a letter to the Chester County Archives requesting a death cert or will record on J. Alonzo Bayard Atkins, who died in 1905...they had neither records but did say that there was a record in Orphan's court on the disposal of his estate. Can anyone tell me why this would be in Orphan's court? His children were grown by 1905.
