September 8, 1784
The Pennsylvania Gazette
CAME to the dwelling-place of the subscriber, in Providence township,
Philadelphia county, about the beginning of July last, a strawberry roan
MARE, supposed to be 4 years old last spring, near 14 hands high, both hind
feet white near half way to the ham, and a little white in her face, no
brand that can be discerned, a natural trotter. The owner is desired to
prove his property, pay charges and take her away.
Sept. 3, 1784. JOHN BATHURST.
N.B. She had been rambling about the neighbourhood for some time before, in
company with a small grey horse colt.
