Monette,
My ggggrandfather was a John WINGARD (WINGERT). He married an Elizabeth
BERN. A daughter of theirs was Esther WINGARD, born 1810 in Berks CO., Pa.
She married David KLECKNER. Their daughter was Maria, born 1837 in Union CO.,
Pa. She married Samuel YOUTZ. Their son (my grandfather) was born 1870 in
Union CO., Pa.
It could be possible that my John WINGARD had a son John, and so forth on
down the line.
I understand a variation on the name is also Winegardner. But as far back
as I have gone it was only WINGERT and then became WINGARD.
Many sometime our 2 families will connect. Ruth Ritschel in Virginia.
