ALLAMAN, CRAFT, DILLON, HECKATHORN, NOVESEL
Getting it right Eleanor A. Allaman: Among the survivors of Eleanor M.
Allaman, 87, of Seneca, who died at 5 p.m. Wednesday in her residence,
is a brother, Robert Rodgers of Cowansville.
Robert B. Craft, 32, of Jacksonville, Fla., a former resident of Oil
City, died Wednesday, June 19, 2002, in a traffic accident in Tampa,
Fla. He was born in Elyria, Ohio, and moved to Oil City when he was 2
years old. He graduated from Oil City High School with the Class of 1987
and, in 1991, he moved from Oil City to St. Marys, Ga. Mr. Craft was a
10-year veteran of the Navy, serving on the USS Pennsylvania. He was
discharged as a nuclear EM from Kings Bay, Ga. He was an active member
of the Hash House Harriers and was co-owner of Craft Brothers, Inc., in
Jacksonville. Surviving are a daughter, Aslin Craft of Jacksonville; the
mother of his child, Kristen Craft of Jacksonville; his mother and
stepfather, Hannah and Dan Borger of Goodyear, Ark.; his father, George
M. Craft of Oil City; two brothers, Dwayne of Oil City and Scott A. of
Jacksonville; a half-brother, Stephen Craft of Oil City; and Allen D.
Shrout, whom he thought of as a brother. Also surviving are six nieces
and nephews and many other loving family members. He was preceded in
death by his maternal grandparents, Gene and Grace Shrout, and his
paternal grandparents, John W. and Verdie L. Craft. A private service
for the family will be held in Jacksonville. A memorial service will be
held in Oil City at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family
suggests all memorials be made to the Aslin Rayn Craft Trust Account No.

Nancy B. Dillon, 78, of Clarion, died Friday, June 21, 2002, at her
residence following an illness. Born Feb. 2, 1924, in Clarion, she was a
daughter of Charles E. and Edna Carter Bigley. She married James M.
Dillon on Aug. 15, 1942. He died Feb. 17, 2001. Mrs. Dillon was a
homemaker. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of
Clarion. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Scott (Linda) Mineker of Old
Forge, N.Y., and a brother, Carter Bigley of Brockport, N.Y. In addition
to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother,
Charles E. Bigley Jr. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
p.m. Sunday at the Goble Funeral Home in Clarion. Funeral services will
be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. The Rev. Arnold Rhoades,
pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Clarion, will officiate.
Interment will be in Clarion Cemetery. The family suggests memorial
contributions be made to the First United Methodist Church of Clarion.
Guy E. Heckathorn, 68, of Seneca, died at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 21,
2002, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh. A complete obituary
will be published Monday in The Derrick. The Osenider Funeral Home is in
charge of arrangements.
Peggy L. Bann Novosel, 77, of Edenburg Court, Knox, died at 2:20 p.m.
Friday, June 21, 2002, at Clarion Hospital. Born Dec. 17, 1924, in
Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Alexander and Helen Noskar Stevens.
Mrs. Novosel was a homemaker and enjoyed playing bingo and playing with
her grandchildren. She was first married to Edward Bann, and later to
William Novosel. Both husbands preceded her in death. Mrs. Novosel is
survived by a daughter, Sandy Tarantino and her husband, Joe, of Knox; a
grandson, Brian Filek of Knox; a granddaughter, Megan Tarantino of Knox;
and several nieces and nephews of Pittsburgh. In addition to her parents
and husbands, Mrs. Novosel was preceded in death by a son, Edward A.
Bann; and two sisters, Shirley Trebisan and Jackie Mansfield. Friends
may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the David C. McEntire Funeral Home,
Knox. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in Uniondale
Cemetery, Pittsburgh. The family suggests memorial contributions be made
to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital by mail at 501 St. Jude Place,
Memphis, Tenn., 38105; or by telephone at (800) 931-1200.
