I was at the Family Center today, and I found a collection of abstracts drawn from Kittanning newspapers around 1825. Something that drew my curiosity were repeated announcements of "Circle Hunts," listing dates and names of participants. They appear to be some sort of organized hunts to kill varmints like wolves. Does anybody know any details about these hunts and how they were conducted?
