Found in the Philadelphia Inquirer Thurs. Feb. 9, 1865:
The Clearfield County Cases will come up for trial, perhaps to-morrow. I
present you with the names of the parties now before the Court, numbering, in
all, thirty-three, most of whom are charged with resisting or combining and
conspiring against the execution of the laws. The first eight individuals on
the list are regarded as principals or ring-leaders in the disturbances.
There are others under arrest who are not as yet in the jurisdiction of the
Commission.
