Passed Over the River
Mr. and Mrs. S.C. READ, of Goshen, were called to Martha, Centre
county, last week to attend the funeral of Mrs. READ's brother, Grant
ARDARY, who died at Jersey Shore Wednesday, February 26, 1902, of
typhoid fever, aged 35 years. He leaves a widow and one daughter;
also his mother, two brothers and three sisters. Deceased was a
member of Bellefonte Lodge, I.O.O.F. and the K.G.E. Rev. E.S.
LATSHAW, of the M.E. church, conducted the religious services.
Richard J. BARD, son of the late William BARD, of Curwensville, died
at Bradford, Pa., Wednesday, February 26, 1902, and was buried at
Curwensville Friday. Deceased was a veteran of the civil war, a
member of the famous Bucktail regiment. He was a bachelor about 56
years of age.
Death visited the home of Mr. and Mrs. D.W. ANDERSON, in the Third
ward, Friday, February 28, and took away their little daughter
Mildred, aged 3 years.
