June Weddings
A social event of unusual brilliancy occurred here Wednesday evening
at 4:30 o'clock, when Miss Annie SHAW was wedded to Dr. Frank D.
LEIPOLD. The ceremony was performed at the home of the bride's
parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.B. SHAW, of Front street, by Dr. M.K. FOSTER,
of the First Methodist church.

Promptly at the appointed hour six little tots parted the ribbons and
the bridal couple marched into the handsomely decorated parlor where
they were made man and wife under a bell of roses hung between two
curtains of smilax. Miss Maud LEIPOLD, sister of the groom, played
the wedding march.

The bride was beautifully gowned in white peau de soie trimmed with
silk Chantilly lace. Her tulle veil was fastened with orange blossoms
and she carried a bouquet of bridal roses. The ceremony was performed
in the presence of the immediate relatives and friends, numbering
sixty or more. The out of town guests were; Misses Emily and
Catharine BOWMAN, of Williamsport, and Miss Hattie COULTER, of Tyrone.

Dr. and Mrs. LEIPOLD left that evening over the P.R.R.. for a tour of
the Eastern cities. On their return they will reside in Clearfield,
where the Dr. will practice his profession, dentistry.

The bride is the sixth daughter in her family, a handsome girl, well
endowed by nature and education to grace a happy home. Dr. LEIPOLD is
the second son of Mr. and Mrs. George LEIPOLD. He is a young man of
unusual attainments and will succeed in his chosen profession and as a
good husband for the charming young woman who has linked her life with
his.

Miss Eva McCRACKEN, niece of Mr. and Mrs. James FERGUSON, of Cherry
street, was married to Delbert BENN at the Lutheran parsonage, Monday
morning at 10 o'clock, by Rev. D.B. RIEBLY. They left over the B.,R.&
P. for a short wedding tour. On their return they will reside in
Clearfield.
