Jacquelyn - There's a couple of them:

1) A. Rosencrans is shown on the Lawrence Township map on page 180-181
at coordinates g,4. The house is shown along a road about a half mile
east outside of Clearfield Borough on the east side of the Susquehanna
River. There is no acreage listed.

2) J. Rosenkrans on the Hutson Township map on page 103 at coordinates
f,2. This shows that he owned about 150 acres about a quarter mile
south of Penfield along what is today highway 255 between that highway
and the Bennet Branch of the Sinnemahoning.

3) Jacob Rosenkrans is listed in the Penfield business directory on
page 217. His occupation is as a "farmer".

Cheers,

Jim

Jim:
There wouldn't happen to be any reference of any ROSENKRANS' (various
spellings do apply) in your book would there? This family is my huge
brickwall and are very difficult to link together. Your look-ups are
greatly appreciated!

Best regards,
Jacquelyn
