Hi All,

I just received a fax and a follow-up phone call with some great news!!
The 150th Bucktails, our local Civil War re-enactment unit has just
begun a new project--that of replacing illegible and deteriorating
headstones for Civil War veterans throughout the county.

What this means is that in order to get free military headstones, they
must furnish proof of service. So, keep watch here. I'll send out the
names as I get them. If any of them look like your folks, let me know
and I'll put you in touch with the right people.

The first cemetery being attended to is Greendale Cemetery in Meadville.
The first group of stones to be replaced are for the following veterans:

George Waters
Daniel Haas
Eli M. Berlin
Samuel McCall
Peter Hawk
William H. Grimes
James Hope
John B. Glenn
