When I was growing up in Meadville, PA, our next door neighbor was Sam
Blair. (We lived at 586 Walnut Street from 1947-1958.) He had been
Crawford County Superintendent of Schools, but was retired at that
point. Do you think he was a descendant of your Samuel Blair?
