If you need somewhere to go come Sunday afternoon,
April 19, 1998,
we invite you to visit the
Conneaut Valley Historical Society,
1625 Main Street,
Conneautville, PA between the
hours of 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.

Although we've been in "business" a few years, this will be an open
house at our new location - a much larger place than our last "home" and
with a lot more room to display items we have collected over the years
(thanks to the generosity of our president, Betty Kovac).

Our "home" is on Route 18 that runs through Conneautville.

Coming from Erie, off the interstate, take Route 18 south through
Albion, Springboro, and then Conneautville. Before you come to the hill
leaving the south end of Conneautville, look left for the house cross
corners from the local beer distributor. This businessman has offered
us the use of his parking lot for this special occasion and we
gratefully accepted.

Coming from Meadville or points south you can come Route 98 north to
198 west and follow 198 through Norrisville into Conneautville until it
interesects Route 18. Take Route 18 North and when coming down the hill
into Conneautville, look to the right for the house with parking across
the street at the beer distributor OR

Take Route 322 to Route 18 North through the east side of Conneaut
Lake, through Harmonsburg and then into Conneautville. Coming down the
hill into Conneautville, look to the right for the house with parking
across the street.

Coming from Ohio, take Route 7 to Route 167 which turns into Route 198
East when you reach PA. When Route 198 dead ends at the bottom of a
hill inside Conneautville, turn left, cross the bridge and the railroad
tracks and at the stop sign (Route 18), take a right. Keep looking left
past the funeral home and park at the beer distributor's on the right.

We are just getting started with indexing those items that we have in
our possession but I'm amazed at the information that we have to share
with other genealogists. At the present time we are collecting
items/printed material pertaining to Spring Township, Summerhill
Township, Beaver Township, Springboro, and Conneautville with limited
information on Conneaut Township. If you can't come see us, look at our
