Edward J. NARAMORE, brother of Dr. M. B. Naramore, of this place died at
his home in Cochranton on Tuesday morning of nervous trouble, aged
nearly 77 years. Deceased is survived by one son, Albert with whom he
made his home, two sisters, Mrs. J. W. Plannette of Linesville and Mrs.
Grover Gaston of Meadville, the brother in this place and a half
brother, Walter Campbell of Jamestown, NY. The funeral will be held at
Cochranton on Thursday afternoon and Dr. & Mrs. Naramore will attend.
Ice cutters who are employed by the several companies harvesting the
crop of ice from the bay in Erie have been receiving $1.50 for ten hours
work. On Saturday they struck for a scale of from $3.00 to $3.50 for
eight hours, and double pay for overtime. The demand was refused and
the men went to work Monday at the old wages.
