Subject: [PACRAWFO-L] Information on GREENFIELD
Date: Sun, 23 Apr 2000 09:45:57 -0400
Hello everyone,
My name is Bob Walton, I am currently searching for information on my
GREENFIELD line. My grandmother was Sarah Mullen (Walton). Her father was
Thomas Mullen and mother was Nancy Greenfield. Nancy died a few months after
my grandmother's birth in 1912.
I lived in Crawford for a few years as a child and remember my grandmother
pointing out her mother's family house on Maples Road. Also two twin uncles
died in their teens in the flu epidemic. As a child I also went to a reunion
og GREENFIELD in Linesville. Two of my grandmother's GREENFIELD cousins
married brothers who had the two competing groceries in Linesville at that
time.
Apparently there was a problem between the GREENFIELDS and Mullen (I think
it was a dislike of Irish Catholics) because my grandmother went to live
with MULLEN aunts in Conneaut, Ohio after her mother's death until her
father's remarriage. There was never much closeness between him and her
family. Nancy and Thomas lived on a farm on the road that goes east/west
between Steamburg and the road to Conneautville. They were listed in a
listing of farmers in the early 1900's that Kathy Brubaker published here
for us.
I'd love to connect with anyone that may have information on the GREENFIELDS
and help me to take that line back. I have information on WALTON, CARR,
PARTCH, GILLILAND, GARWOOD.
Researching CHASON, OATES, GREENFIELD, MULLEN, CARR.
Bob Walton
