I am looking for more information about William Pomeroy. He
served from Potter County, but the Pomeroys ended up in the
Crawford county area. He served in company I of the 76th PA
Infantry, also known as the Keystone Zouaves. He died 20
May, 1865 in North Carolina, and is buried in Wilmington
National Cemetery, Wilmington, NC. He left a wife and 3
young children. I would be very delighted to know the unit
history of the76th, so I get a better picture of William's
service in the war. He joined the unit in 1864. Thanks so
much for your offer! Linda in Utah
