Hope someone can help solve a discussion among Carman researchers. Hope I
am the right one. LOL
Frazier was the son of Stephen and Rachel (maiden name unknown) Carman and
was born in NJ.
He married Sarah Jones and there were three known children (possibly more)
Up to and including the 1850 Census every thing was agreeing.
I do believe the first Sarah passed away between 1850 & 1854, but no proof.
In the Crawford Democrat dated April 4, 1854. there is a F. Carman marriage
to Sarah Dickson
The 1860 census shows a much younger wife and along with some Dickson family
members that
were her sisters.
In the Joseph Dickson family plot, we literally tripped over a tombstone for
a Sarah Carman, wife of Fracie. Had to turn the stone over. I wondered
why she was there and no sign of Frazier.
Other researchers thought that one of Frazier's children had married a
Dickson, but I see it differently.
Isn't genealogy fun??
